Chicago Pride Parade Ministry of Welcome at
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Chicago
On Sunday, June 28, Pride Parade-goers in Chicago are invited to join in celebrating and spreading our Episcopal Diocese’s message of inclusion, support, and love here at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. St. Peter’s is located on the parade route at 617 West Belmont and will be open from 8:30 am for breakfast, worship at 10:00 am, and through the end of the parade around 1:30 pm.
All are invited to help distribute water and baked goods or welcome the public stopping stopping by for music, prayer, and a place to cool off.
Things to know for the day:
St. Peter’s is located at 617 West Belmont on the south side of the street and a half block from Broadway.
The parade begins at 11:00 am and will begin to pass by St. Peter’s between 11:20 and 11:30 am.
TWO HOURS before the parade begins, it is difficult, if not impossible to cross from the north to the south sides.
St. Peter’s provides accessible, all-gender bathrooms with a changing table.
Parking in the area is extremely difficult on Pride Parade Sunday and many roads will be closed completely beginning at 9:00 am. Public transportation is strongly encouraged.

St. Peter’s is located at 617 West Belmont Avenue in the East Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. There is both free and paid parking in the area and we are a short walk from the Belmont el stop (Brown, Purple, Red lines), and several CTA bus routes (8, 22, 36, 77, 146, 151, and 156).

We are located near of the corner of Broadway and Belmont in the Lakeview East neighborhood of Chicago.
We serve the Lakeview East and LGBTQIA+ communities but our parishioners come from all over the Chicagoland area.
